Read 180
Read 180 is a reading intervention software program developed by Scholastic. It is a comprehensive system of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development proven to raise reading achievement for struggling readers in Grades 4–12+. This course is used in two hour time blocks. The first hour consists of whole class instruction. This is immediately followed by our rotation time. Rotations consist of 20 minute blocks of time. During the classroom rotations, students will participate in each of the three READ 180 stations, the computer station, the independent reading station and small group station. After the stations the class reconvenes for a culminating activity. This program’s main goal is to increase the reading skills of students who read below grade level.
